Stage Three of Pottery - Be creative in designing your pottery and imagination with how you may decorate it. Everyone has a unique idea on what they like and don't like. Share your ideas in this honor.

Remember that you should have a notepad or printout of your worksheet. The worksheet is located at the lower part of your Pottery Screen. If you do not have a printout then take notes so you can put the information needed in the boxes.

There are lots of different ways of decorating pottery.  And each of these techniques can be used to put your own individual stamp on a piece of ceramics.

Decorating pottery can be done at different stages in the process of making a piece of ware.  For example, glazing pottery is done after the pot has been fired at least once.  Whereas creating a texture on your pottery surface is usually done when it is fresh or leather hard.

I like to share all the resources on decorating and creative designs. This section of this honor is to help you be creative and get prepared for stage 4. I think that taking time to read how one website shares their views on decorating pottery with another site is nothing but positive in our process of being skilled in pottery.

I believe God gave us a creative mind to help us create unusual and interesting types of pottery.
