General Information about starting this honor
Honors are merits that are earned by performing tasks or special things by children or youth. This honor is about flags and how they interact with our society. I will explain what each section is and how it works with the honor.
National flags are patriotic symbols with widely varied interpretations that often include strong military associations because of their original and ongoing use for that purpose. Flags are also used in messaging, advertising, or for decorative purposes.
From Canada’s maple leaf to Turkey’s white star and crescent, every country’s flag is a representation of its people, values, and culture. Originating in Ancient China and the Indian Subcontinent, flags are known for more than just their intricate and beautiful designs. They play an important role in the development of a nation and its identity.
