A flag is a piece of material with a distinctive design that is usually rectangular and used as a symbol, as a signaling device, or decoration attached on one edge to a pole or rope.

Signaling with flags - Flag hoist signalling is with one or more flags (or pennants) simultaneously flying from a fixed halyard, and generally any method of signaling by such means. Each of the flags has a distinct shape and color combination. Each flag or combination of flags has a preassigned meaning or "code".

What are worship flags?

worshipflag

Worship Flags are used to bring a positive element into the atmosphere during worship. Each dancer waves around a flag with colors that represent joy, love, purity, and any other type of positive attribute rejoicing in the Lord’s glory.

Worship flags are colorful flags usually made of silk that Christians use as a visual and tangible way to worship God. They can be used in church, at Christian concerts, and in interpretive dances, and are meant to serve as a reminder that the Lord is our Banner.

Flags of The World

flags of world

The national flag or flag of a country is a patriotic symbol that represents its belief, vision, core strength and includes the military associations. The national flag of any country is generally flown by the government but often it can be flown by the citizens as well. The flags of the world with varied symbols and colors hold a specific meaning.

Citizens of the country may wear the colors present in country flags or may use other related accessories to show their patriotism. The design of the national flag may experience alteration due to the occurrence of events that hold historical importance. Have you ever thought that why there are so many flags of the countries around the world? What are the commonly used symbols on flags? What do the colors used in flag signify? Let us seek the answer to all these questions here. ( Flags Of The World, 2023 )

Flags of War

warflag   Flags of War, also known as a military flagbattle flag, or standard,[1] is a variant of a national flag for use by a country's military forces when on land. The nautical equivalent is a naval ensign. Under the strictest sense of the term, few countries today currently have proper war flags, most preferring to use instead their state flag or standard national flag for this purpose.

Semaphore Flags

semi flags

Flag semaphore (from the Ancient Greek σῆμα (sêma) 'sign' and -φέρω (-phero) '-bearer'[1]) is a semaphore system conveying information at a distance by means of visual signals with hand-held flags, rods, disks, paddles, or occasionally bare or gloved hands. Information is encoded by the position of the flags; it is read when the flag is in a fixed position.

Semaphores were adopted and widely used (with hand-held flags replacing the mechanical arms of shutter semaphores) in the maritime world in the 19th century.[2] It is still used during underway replenishment at sea and is acceptable for emergency communication in daylight or using lighted wands instead of flags, at night.[citation needed]
