Disaster Ministry - #7 - Introduction to Disaster Preparedness

Stage seven of Disaster Ministry - complete the course “Introduction to Disaster Preparedness” provided by Adventist Community Services Disaster Response (contact your local Conference Adventist Community Services Disaster Response Coordinator for information on obtaining this training). Course from ADRA Canada must be identified.

Remember that you should have a notepad or printout of your worksheet. The worksheet is located at the lower part of your Disaster Ministry Screen. If you do not have a printout then take notes so you can put the information needed in the boxes.

This course is updated from time to time. At the time of writing these answers, a 82 page slide show from this course was available on the bottom of this page: CommunityServices.org.

This part of the honor will take a little longer than the other parts. I will require you to work as a group unless you are alone by yourself. Groups are better. Read the document from beginning to end and fill in the Family Communication Plan.

This stage has been modified by Mr. D to help the pathfinder or participant to be more prepared for a disaster in their own area or friends.

The Introduction to Disaster Preparedness is about 20 pages and this honor only requires you to be informed or educated in what to be prepared for in case you have a disaster in your life. The honor should require a map of your home and all the things to be done – like a list or schedule you prepare as a family ahead of time.

Preparation is a gift and we need to harness it to be prepared for what Satan sends to us. Prepare for the end of time and the coming disasters.

The next four sections I will nararate the manual to you. The information you may need to fill in this section will be discussed while talking.
